Vitamin & Nutrient Injections in Hillsboro & Lake Oswego, OR

Quick vitamin and nutrient injections, including B12, to support energy and wellness. Administered by a licensed physician, Dr. Rosalia Juarez, ND, in English and Spanish.

What Are Nutrient Injections?

Nutrient injections deliver a concentrated dose of vitamins or nutrients directly into the muscle, where they can be absorbed efficiently. They are a fast, convenient alternative to an IV drip for patients who want targeted support, such as a vitamin B12 injection. At Amaranta, injections are administered by Dr. Rosalia Juarez, ND, a licensed naturopathic doctor and primary care physician.

Injections are a good fit for patients dealing with low energy, a nutrient-poor diet, or absorption issues, and for those who simply prefer a quick visit over a longer infusion. Nutrient injections are priced at $45 and are offered at both our Hillsboro and Lake Oswego offices as part of a thoughtful, physician-led plan.

Why a Physician-Administered Injection Matters

Even a quick injection is a medical treatment, and it should be guided by a physician. Dr. Juarez completed a four-year doctoral program at the National University of Natural Medicine and is licensed by the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine. She reviews your health history and goals to confirm that a nutrient injection is appropriate for you, rather than treating it as an off-the-shelf product.

Because Dr. Juarez also provides naturopathic and primary care, nutrient injections can be part of a larger plan that addresses why you feel depleted in the first place. Nutrient injections are an elective wellness service and are generally not covered by insurance. We are happy to discuss what to expect before you begin.

What Nutrient Injections Can Support

Energy Support

Targeted vitamins such as B12 can support energy levels in patients who are depleted, fatigued, or under ongoing stress.

Efficient Absorption

Delivering nutrients into the muscle bypasses the digestive system, which can help patients who do not absorb nutrients well from diet alone.

Wellness Support

Selected by Dr. Juarez to support general wellness and immune function as one part of your overall care plan.

Fast and Convenient

An injection takes only a few minutes, making it an easy option for patients who want targeted support without a longer IV visit.

Vitamins & Nutrients We Offer

The vitamins and minerals we administer at Clinic Amaranta are essential for normal bodily function. With the exception of vitamin D, all may also be administered as an IV infusion. Treatment via intramuscular injection and IV infusion is generally well tolerated and effective.

Labs Required

Blood tests are required to confirm deficiency and are repeated post-injection to confirm adequate levels.

Vitamin D

IM Only

Vitamin D is essential for bone health, muscle function, and immunity. Deficiency is primarily caused by insufficient sunlight exposure, a poor diet, or conditions that impair nutrient absorption.

Signs of Deficiency
Frequent illness, fatigue, bone pain, muscle weakness, and cramping.
Vitamin D is fat-soluble and is administered as an intramuscular injection only, not as an IV infusion.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is needed to produce healthy red blood cells and maintain proper nerve function. Some vegan diets, gastric bypass, malabsorption, and medications like metformin can decrease vitamin B12 levels and lead to deficiency.

Signs of Deficiency
Anemia, fatigue, mood changes, and numbness or tingling of the hands and feet.

Biotin (Vitamin B7)

Biotin is essential for the breakdown of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It converts food into energy and produces keratin, the structural protein in hair, skin, and nails.

Signs of Deficiency
Hair loss, scaly red rashes around the face and body, and neurological issues such as depression, fatigue, and numbness.

Glutathione

Glutathione is the body's master antioxidant. It primarily reduces oxidative stress, supports cellular detoxification, and boosts immune function. Natural levels decline with age, poor nutrition, and chronic stress.

Signs of Deficiency
Chronic fatigue, frequent illness, brain fog, and skin changes.
